The MiP Working Group is an informal, international group of scientists with an interest in malaria in pregnancy that was created in 2005 with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It is the first attempt by leading MiP research groups to combine their expertise to consider ways in which MiP research could be accelerated, to agree on research priorities and to devise means that will ensure that new evidence is translated rapidly into policy and practice. The activities of the Working Group are managed by a secretariat based at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) in the UK. The MiP Library is one of the products developed by the MiP Working Group, within the Secretariat, with the specific aim to improve access to MiP literature.
