Water and sanitation news related to the tsunami disaster can be found in the Asia & Pacific [http://www.irc.nl/page/333] section of Source (a joint endeavour of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC)and the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre).
In order to help those affected by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean IRC
has engaged in several initiatives, mainly in collaboration with the

integrated emergency plan, briefing sessions and practical information on
water, sanitation and hygiene for local organisations and aid workers.
Further details can be found in a special temporary web page
[http://www.irc.nl/earthquake] launched by IRC. It includes links and
fact-sheets on water, sanitation and hygiene in emergency situations, and
reports of relief efforts and initiatives of IRC's partners in the South
and in the North.
